Management Team

Scott Snead

Scott Snead, Chairman of the Board of MedNet America, Inc., has over a decade of experience in the medical billing and software sales environment. Scott began his medical career in 1992 with Medac. From there he started his own billing company in Florida. As president of Healthfile, Inc., a physician billing company, Scott spearheaded the formation of this medical and surgical practice management firm. Upon leaving Healthfile, he assisted in the formation of MCNC - a software and billing company located in Georgia - before launching MedNet Physician Resource in 1997.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, Scott spent eight years in academia as Assistant Director of Admissions at Mercer University and Agnes Scott Colleges. During that time, he pursued postgraduate coursework in Business and Constitutional Law.

Steve Wright

Steve Wright, President of MedNet America, Inc., joined MedNet in 2000, after spending more than nine years with Per-Se′ Technologies (formerly Medaphis). In his position as Vice President of Anesthesia Specialties, he was responsible for operations and practice management for clients in five Southeastern states. Steve achieved a wide range of accomplishments while overseeing numerous customers in such specialties as anesthesia, radiology and pathology.

Prior to forming Per-Se′, he was the Manager of Central Business Office for the Hospital Corporation of America where he directed the billing and follow-up for three HCA hospitals. Wright received an M.S. from Clemson University and a PhD in physiology and neuro-anatomy from Auburn University.

James DeLoach

James DeLoach, Chief Administrative Officer of MedNet America, Inc., joined MedNet in 1999 while pursuing a degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. James is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate. Utilizing his technical background, James has developed a strong support services infrastructure for MedNet. James has implemented many technology based solutions resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy of business processes while continuing to reduce expenses. He has also managed MedNet's HIPAA security and transaction compliance programs.

Michael Koerner

Michael Koerner, the Compliance Officer of MedNet America, Inc., joined the company in 2000. Prior to that, Mike held positions as Operations Manager, Managed Care Coordinator and Compliance Officer for Medical Finance Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a Certified Compliance Professional who has written and maintained the Compliance Plans for MedNet and many anesthesia physician groups throughout the country. He is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and the Anesthesia Administrators Assembly. Mike received his bachelor's degree in mathematics from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.

Michelle Holmes

Michelle Holmes, Senior Operations Manager of MedNet America, Inc., has been with MedNet since April of 2000. Michelle started as an Accounts Receivable Representative. She was promoted to an Operations Supervisor within her first year. Michelle continued to grow and assumed many different roles learning the business from the bottom up. Michelle has a keen understanding of client needs obtained by working with clients as a Practice Manager.

Tracy Padgett

Tracy Padgett, a Practice Manager and New Client Startup Manager for MedNet America, Inc., joined the MedNet team in January of 1998. Formerly, Tracy worked at Medac from 1992-1997; she held the position of Operations Manager when she left. In 1999, Tracy was certified as a Certified Professional Coder from the AAPC and maintains that certification through seminars, workshops and research material study. Tracy works closely with MedNet clients in providing services, such as managed care contract negotiations, special reports and coding. As Startup Manager, she guides the process from contract execution, credentialing, database development and many other vital procedures to ensure a smooth transition for all clients new to MedNet.

Wanda Helms

Wanda Helms, a Practice Manager and also in Business Development for MedNet America, Inc., joined the MedNet team in February 2000. She previously held positions as Operations and Collections Manager, and Assistant to the President of Medical Finance Corporation. Having successfully negotiated contracts with many top national insurance companies for MedNet clients, Wanda works closely with MedNet customers to meet their needs and maintain good client relations. Wanda, a member of NCAPMA, has participated in numerous anesthesia workshops and conferences. She received a degree in business management from Charlotte Business College.
